Days 2-3 Paris to Limoges to Argeles-Gazost

The bus trip from Paris to Limoges set off at a slow pace as we were stuck in traffic jams until outside of Paris. We are lucky to have a 30 seater bus for 17 of us so could spread out and settle in for a long ride halfway down France to Limoges.

When we arrived at Limoges for an overnight stop the guys were keen to put the bikes together for a quick spin.Thankfully there was no damage to any of the bikes.

Unpacking bikes

An early start on Tuesday morning for another long trip to Argeles-Gazost at the base of the foothills of the Pyrenne. Arrived mid afternoon in time for another quick spin on the bikes. The damage from last weeks floods in the Haute Pyrennes was evident with debri collecting on the banks of the still swollen rivers.

The hotel is a lovely boutique style with indoor swimming pool, lovely gardens and cute rooms. The staff are lovely and tolerate our meek attempts at using a few French words, with lots of hand gestures.Very hot temperatures here at 32 degrees with spectacular afternoon thunder and lightning storms.

  1. Good to see the internationally-famous-amonst-a-select-group-of-people-in-wellington Voodoo Lounge shirt getting some overseas exposure. Look forward to a photo of it at the top of L'Alpe D'Huez!
